Q: Does RecoverOS upload my camera footage to a server?

No. All pose inference runs locally using MediaPipe — Google's open-source on-device AI library. Your camera feed is processed frame by frame on-device and immediately discarded. Nothing is transmitted, stored, or accessible to anyone.

Q: Which video meeting platforms does RecoverOS support?

RecoverOS supports Google Meet, Zoom (zoom.us web client), Microsoft Teams (web), and Slack Huddles. Desktop app detection for Zoom and Teams is on the v2 roadmap.

Q: How is RecoverOS different from a posture reminder app?

Timer-based reminder apps fire on a fixed schedule regardless of what you're actually doing. RecoverOS uses real-time pose detection to measure actual posture deviation, accumulates fatigue from multiple signals, and calibrates to your personal neutral posture. It only nudges you when the data says you need it.

Q: What is the fatigue score?

A 0–100 number that combines posture deviation velocity, static sitting duration, session length, and meeting time. Green (0–30) means you're doing well. Amber (31–60) means fatigue is building. Orange (61–80) means a nudge is warranted. Red (81–100) means recovery is urgent.

Q: What browsers does RecoverOS work in?

RecoverOS is a Chrome extension (Manifest V3) and works in Chrome, Brave, Edge, and other Chromium-based browsers. Firefox and Safari support is on the roadmap.
